A web content management system (WCMS) is a system that allows content for websites to be created, edited, and published centrally. Text, images, and videos can be easily managed without any programming knowledge .

Since 2021, Crownpeak's WCMS FirstSpirit has been used at LMU, replacing Fiona. Various websites for faculties, chairs, and projects have already been implemented with FirstSpirit. FirstSpirit offers:

  • a modern and responsive design
  • Content prepared for the web, e.g., the LMU image pool
  • 1:1 language switching between German and English
  • user guidance that puts the visitor at the center.

LMU employees can independently create and maintain websites as editors at . The service is available to all LMU employees after qualification.
